Evening photography is very challenging for macro photography. There is a higher demand for light with macro in general and working at night with a greater light deficit can be extremely problematic. The following images were shot late in the evening during a snowstorm. I am unhappy with the results, but happy at the same time.
PROCESS: For the first half, my "assistant" held a large black mounting board and caught snowflakes, while I photographed them.
In the second half, I shot still snowflakes at eye level, close to a light source.
